Methodology
The team worked on site from October 20th to December 19th, 2010. Over a seven weeks period, the team utilized the following methods to identify and further define the elements essential to the design of the Good Hope College Initiation Site.
- Attended an initiation indaba (community meeting)
- Visited a successful formal initiation site in Langa
- Interviewed the Initiation Site Development Project Manager, Zolisa Paked, for project identification
- Visited and investigated the Good Hope College Initiation Site to develop site designs
- Interviewed city officials to identify necessary elements for the Good Hope College Initiation Site design
