Why did you choose the Cape Town Project Centre?

I chose the Cape Town Project Centre because I wanted to complete my IQP in a place where I would be pushed out of my comfort zone.  The CTPC is a place where the projects directly impact the lives of people in need and where I would have the opportunity to truly grow as a person.  Plus, where else do you get to wake up to Table Mountain, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, every day, jump off the world’s tallest commercial bungee jump, and hang out with lions on safari?!

How has this project affected you?

I had the opportunity to work with one of the most amazing groups of people in Maitland Garden Village.  Through our collaboration, both the community and myself have grown together to achieve so much.  This project has proven to me that small actions can make a large difference!

What is your most cherished Cape Town memory?

How can I choose just one?!  I would have to say that my most cherished memory would have to be the first day that our group went to the crèche in MGV.  The children were just so overwhelmingly excited to see us!  Feeling so loved by so many adorable little children at once is a feeling that I will never forget.
