Meet the Team

Zach Hennings

Zach is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering and is originally from eastern Massachusetts.  He fulfilled a recent engineering internship at U.S. Army Labs Natick and has a keen eye for design and quality.  Zach is involved with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Sigma Alpha Sigma.  His interests include automobiles, skateboarding, and finding fun around campus.  Zach was a great contribution to the technical details of our project, from designs to calculations.

Rachel Mollard

Rachel is a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering and is originally from upstate New York. This past summer Rachel completed a biomedical internship at The University of Northwestern Prosthetics and Orthotics Center and worked as a WPI Admissions Intern. She is highly active on campus, with involvement in Colleges Against Cancer, Phi Sigma Sigma women’s fraternity and WPI Admissions Interns. Her interests include community events, lacrosse, movies, music and laughing.  Rachel’s organizational and personal skills were tremendous assets working in the community and getting project requirements finished.

Adam Moreschi

Adam is a junior studying Management Engineering and is originally from outside Boston, Massachusetts.  He recently completed an internship at General Electric Aviation performing logistics and supply chain work for aircraft engine assembly.  Adam is involved in Greek Life, the Career Development Center and the WPI Social Committee on campus.  His interests include outdoor running, pickup sports, and attending shows.  He focused on the transition documents and effective communication between partners during our time in Cape Town.

Sarah Sawatzki

Sarah is currently a junior at WPI studying Robotics Engineering and is originally from Tacoma, Washington.  She recently completed an internship at iRobot this past summer.  Sarah’s involved in several organizations on campus, including Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, WPI Admissions Interns, Panhellenic Council and Women’s Soccer.  Her interests include the comic Peanuts, good cooking, and traveling.  Sarah was phenomenal in keeping the team on track, working within the community to explain scenarios appropriately, and pulling together the partnership to make improvements happen.

Steve Young

Steve is currently a junior pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering and is originally from eastern Massachusetts.  He recently completed an internship at Kronos, a workforce management company.  Steve is involved with Alpha Phi Omega co-ed service fraternity on campus, and is very involved with physical education.  His interests include spontaneous fun, organized sports, and giving back to the community.  Steve’s input on reblocking process improvement and carpentry skills were very helpful in Mtshini Wam.
