Planning and Methods
The CTPC approach is unique. Through Shared Action Learning (SAL) and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) each student-lead project group works with local government, NGOs, and community partners to drive forward community development projects in Cape Town, South Africa. Our team was working in the Flamingo Crescent informal settlement in Lansdowne, Cape Town to facilitate community driven early childhood development opportunities made possible by the reblocking effort of past CTPC students and local partners.
Working under these unique circumstances, we developed a Project Philosophy that combined the SAL and ABCD approaches, which helped evolve our Mission Statement and Objectives to guide our project.
