Hospitals, Frozen Yogurt, and Resumes.. Oh my!

Filed in From the Staff by on September 1, 2016

One of the two newest additions to the Peer Advisor staff, my name is Miranda Lawell, a senior Biochemistry major from Apple Valley, Minnesota. To me, very little beats a summer in Minnesota, and so last spring I focused on searching for a job that would allow me to be home for the summer. I eventually landed on a Student Intern and Scribe position at Children’s Hospital and Clinics of Minnesota in Minneapolis, which provided me with invaluable experience in a hospital setting. I will be returning to Children’s to work over winter break, as well as summer 2017. In my evenings I split my time between helping my mother with her business, Senior Move Magic, working at a local frozen yogurt shop in my city called Yogurt Lab, and exploring and exercising to work off the copious amounts of frozen yogurt I consumed! After a summer full of great work experiences, I’ve found myself in need of updating my resume. If you happen to find yourself in a similar position, I’d encourage you to bring a copy of your resume to the CDC’s walk-in hours, which run Monday-Friday from 10AM-4PM, and review it with a staff member.
