Teams
A quick update from the challenge now that things have settled down. Six teams arrived with robots on site and worked furiously for 2 days building, coding, debugging, fixing, and practicing. On Saturday, 5 of 6 were able to get their robot to the field to try a run and all departed the platform in the direction of the sample!
In the end, no team was able to collect a sample during an official run, therefore no team completed Level 1 or tried Level 2.
Today, teams are practicing or packing up to head out. We will post some links to the various media coverage and photos of the event soon.

Does this mean the challenge will be repeated next year? Or is that still to be decided?

The decision on whether or not this challenge will continue still needs to be discussed and decided. The goal is to have a decision and announcement on the future of this challenge as soon as possible.

Perhaps WPI can ask for feedback from those who participated and those who decided not to for whatever reasons. Please keep the feedback transparent and unfiltered.
