The Center for Materials Property Data (CMPD) generates and collects transient materials property data to be used in manufacturing process models. This data, often time and/or temperature dependent, is difficult to find, yet imperative to produce accurate models.

CMPD members will play a critical role in selecting projects and deciding which data should be generated.  Members also have first access to the project results and materials data.
Members also have access to some of the best laboratory equipment, data analytics expertise, and process modeling tools at the three Center universities: University of Connecticut (UConn), Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), and University at Buffalo.
A key member of the CMPD team is ASM international – the world’s foremost professional society for materials science, utilizes their established practices of effectively cultivating and disseminating data to researchers and consumers, and provides the data ecosystem and business administrative support for the Center.
