Since Commencement is about 10 weeks away, I am constantly reminded of how little time the seniors have left at WPI. It’s exciting, but also a bit frightening. Life after graduation could be drastically different. The people who have become your family in the past four years, you may not see in a long time.
So with all this in mind, I decided to revisit AlumniConnect. I discovered that through this website, alumni can stay connected with WPI and the family they found here. There are various alumni chapters found at different places that you can be involved in. I also noticed that there are many events that WPI holds for alumni. Furthermore, alumni can help the current students by signing up for the STAR Mentor Program and by being a resource for a current student.
Also, if you’re looking for alumni to speak with about any questions or concerns you may have, there’s an online directory available. In this directory, you can perform a search, and it will provide you with a list of names of alumni that you may want to contact.
AlumniConnect is a great networking tool; if you’re a senior and still have not signed up for it, you’d better get on that!
