A team of WPI students — Mark Mordarski, Derrick Brown, Minkyu Lee, and Matthew Richards — came in second in the Robotics Innovations Competition and Conference (RICC) April 10 in Woburn, Mass. The team was advised by Mechanical Engineering Adjunct Assistant Professor Ken Stafford, who also serves as director of the Robotics Resource Center, and Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor and Department Head Fred Looft. The name of their project was “Auger-Driven Ice Surveyor Robot.”
