Professor Rob Krueger, an international authority on sustainable development, made a presentation on sustainable development to the European Union in Brussels last month.
Krueger, director of environmental studies at WPI, was recently granted a fellowship to collaborate with researchers at the University of Luxembourg to assess that country’s sustainability and planning policies. This research led to Krueger’s delivering the keynote address at the “Sustainable Development: Where Are We Now?” international conference held in Luxembourg in June, as well as the invitation to present to the EU last month.
A leading authority on sustainability planning and practice, Krueger was an invited guest of the Regional Studies Association and the European Commission to the EU Open Days 9th European Week of Regions and Cities, held in Brussels in mid-October. He delivered a presentation, “A Credible Exit Strategy Ahead? A Comparative Analysis of Market Reforms, Governance, and Regional Sustainable Development.”
