  • travel forward in time from a published work and view citations that reference back to an original source understand impact of a work as indicated by subsequent citations by other scholars in the field
  • track development of a theory over the years
  • identify core researchers in a field

New features include citation mapping and analysis.

Assessing Research Impact with Journal Citation Reports
February 3, 2010, 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Within Web of Knowledge WPI researchers can access Journal Citation Reports (JCR®) which is used to generate scholarly journal rankings for specific titles or by disclipine. ISI has recently added additional metrics such as: 5-Year Impact Factor, Eigenfactor™ Score and the Article Influence™ Score, an adjusted Impact Factor which excludes self-citations. Attend this workshop to learn about these metrics and more.
