In and Around the Library

Noelle Richard, WPI Class of 2013,  is the 2012 winner of the Robert Fellman Memorial Scholarship Prize for her essay, “The Ghostly Progression Towards Redemption.”  Ms. Richard will read her essay at the April meeting of the Worcester chapter of the Charles Dickens Fellowship.   She also receives a cash prize.  The scholarship was established in memory of Robert Fellman, who bequeathed his Charles Dickens collection to WPI in 1995.  The collection includes many volumes of Dickens’s writings (including rare first editions of his major works and original serialized parts of most of his novels); autograph letters; Dickens-related periodicals; original illustrations; and many volumes of reference works, criticism and commentary on the novel, Dickens’s England, the Victorian period, and related English authors.
