The Gordon Library welcomes Jessica Branco Colati as the new Digital Initiatives Librarian. She started on October 1st and will partner with the WPI community to strategize and build the library’s digital collections and institutional repository services, including the DigitalCommmons@WPI faculty profiles and collected publications.
Jessica brings 10+ years of experience in the digital archives, library, and museum community, having served as the Director of Preservation Services at the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) in Andover, MA and as the Director of Repository Services at the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries, in Denver, CO. She has also worked with physical and digital collections at Tufts University, Smithsonian Institution, and the Washington Research Library Consortium.
In addition to her efforts to develop and support expanded access to and preservation of WPI’s digital scholarship and historical resources, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Digital Commonwealth and is an continuing education instructor for NEDCC and the Society of American Archivists.
Jess is a graduate of Tufts University and Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science.
