Did You Know, News

Are you looking for a place to sit? Are all of the tech suites booked? Do you need an impromptu space to meet with your project group?  Look no further than the Flexible Learning and Instruction Place (FLIP) on the third floor of the library. Completed over the summer, the FLIP was designed as a teaching and instructional space for library classes and workshops. In between these classes, the space can be used by anyone. To avoid confusion over the use of the space, the FLIP will be reserved ahead of time by library staff if it is needed for a class. These reservations will be indicated on one of the white boards as you enter the space. When the FLIP is not being used for instruction, WPI community members are welcome to come up and use it without a reservation. It can be used for individual or group study.  The FLIP contains rolling whiteboards with markers that can be moved around as you need them. The tables are also on wheels so these can be configured to your liking. There is wireless access in the space but due to its flexible nature, the FLIP is not equipped with any stationary computers. Please bring laptops and mobile devices.  There are cables along the wall for a hardwired connection to the internet.

The next time that you’re looking for a study spot, check out the Flexible Learning and Instruction Place.
