Come to the Library Ground floor

You’ll find creepy old things by the score!

And there might be a bloodthirsty story~

A collection of books by E. Gorey!

Edward Gorey was a prolific illustrator, artist, writer, puppeteer, and set designer with a quirky and macabre sense of humor.  In addition to illustrating his own books, he also created artwork for other books, such as Charles Dickens’s Bleak House.

In addition to a fiendishly entertaining collection of books illustrated by Edward Gorey, WPI Special Collections has 11 books on cemeteries, 7 books on sepulchral monuments, and 1 book with the story “The Goblin Spider” by Lafcadio Hearn.

Preservation is not just delicious jams and jellies. It's about caring for the Library's collections, so they are available for current and future scholars. In addition to bookbinding, my obsessions include music of most kinds and ballet.
