Please join us for a talk and discussion of James Dempsey’s new book, The Tortured Life of Scofield Thayer as he reveals a paradoxical man fraught with indecision, an insatiable appetite, and mental illness, and who would introduce modernism to America.

An informal reception with light refreshments will follow. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and author signing.
