In and Around the Library, News

JSTOR and Project Muse now have books too!

You are probably familiar with searching fulltext journals on both JSTOR and Project Muse.  Now, these two highly-regarded resources have added electronic books from a variety of scholarly publishers to their databases and the Gordon Library is making many of these books available to you.

On JSTOR, you will find books in the subject areas of Film and Video Studies, Architecture, Biography and Autobiography, Science, and American Literary Criticism.  The library has acquired the Project Muse foundation and archive collection in Asian and Pacific Studies which includes over 1100 titles.  A search in either database will seamlessly retrieve journals and books or you can limit a search to one or the other.

We hope you will find these additions to our collections useful in your research.  As always, the librarians are more than happy to help with these and any other resources and we would love to hear any feedback about these new ebook collections.

As the Collections Assessment and Development Librarian, I try to make sure that the library has the resources needed to serve the entire WPI community. I've been with the Gordon Library since January 2014.
