Gordon Library was a participant in the recent campus wide Touch Tomorrow event held on Saturday, June 14, 2014. We had many visitors at the table and we fielded a wide variety of questions and provided much information about the library. A space glove prototype, that was part of a student project in 1985, was featured along with information about IQPs and MQPs. We displayed many unique items that the library circulates such as board games, video games and audio books. We included many print books related to NASA and space exploration in the display as well.
With several staff members assisting at the event this year, including assistance from student staff members, the event went very smoothly. We offered a coloring activity for kids, and that drew more people to the table. We had interest from visitors of all ages. Overall, it was an enjoyable event and we hope to participate in again next year!
