The IQP is an extraordinary learning opportunity for WPI students. As part of the learning outcomes, students are expected to “… critically identify, utilize, and properly cite information sources, and integrate information from multiple sources to identify appropriate approaches to addressing the project goals.” With IQPs now available electronically for anyone to view, it is critically important that students understand not only what copyright is, but to use information ethically, whether it be text, images, audio, video, etc. wisely and to know when permissions are needed and when materials are free to use.
