New Academic Year, New Students for ACRC, CHTE, CR3

This academic year brings many new students to the MPI centers at WPI – ACRC, CHTE, and CR3. Returning students, along with MPI faculty and staff, welcomed the new students during a kick-off meeting and luncheon led by Diran Apelian, Director of MPI.
Students working in ACRC research are Cecilia Borgonovo, Yang Yang Fan, Shaymus Hudson, and Shi Yan. CHTE students include Luke Bassett, Aaron Birt, Danielle Belsito, Baillie McNally, Rose Roy, Yuan Yu, and Lei Zang. CR3 (WPI) students include Eric Gratz, Naren Nayak, Qina Sa, and Hao Yu. In addition, three students are working at industry sites in our Industrial Internship program and include WenDi Liu (H.C. Starck), Mason Ruffing (wTe), and Yingying Wei (Air Products).
Advising our students at WPI are Profs. Richard Sisson, Jr. (Director of CHTE), Kevin Rong (CHTE), Makhlouf M. Makhlouf (Director of ACRC), Diran Apelian (ACRC and Director of CR3), Yan Wang (CR3), and Marion Emmert (CR3). Research professors and Post-Doctoral Fellows include Libo Wang (ACRC, CR3), Lance Wu (ACRC), Mei Yang (CHTE), and Ning Sun (CR3). Supporting MPI operations are Carol Garofoli, Maureen Plunkett, Dolan Murvihill, and Renee Brodeur.
