Sustainability Research at the Center for Resource Recovery & Recycling

CR3 faculty and students from WPI, CSM, and K.U. Leuven are researching and working on a variety of interesting projects (precompetitive and fundamental) funded by industry members and NSF.  The Center performs basic and developmental research relevant to the industry.  This academic year, research will be conducted on the following CR3 projects:

CR3 graduate students studying and researching at the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) are Joseph Grogan, Patrick Eduafo, Matthew Esquibel, Keegan Hammond, and James Wright.  K.U. Leuven (Belgium) students include Silviana Onisei, Yiannis Pontikes, and Thomas Suetens.  WPI graduate students working on CR3 research projects are Eric Gratz, Naren Nayak, Qina Sa, and Hao Yu.

Advising our students at WPI are Profs. Diran Apelian (Director of CR3), Yan Wang, Marion Emmert, and Ning Sun (Post-Doctoral Fellow).  CSM faculty includes Profs. Brajendra Mishra (CR3 Site Director), Corby Anderson, Patrick Taylor.   CR3 Site Director and Professor at K.U. Leuven is Bart Blanpain.
