NADCA Scholarship Awarded to Shaymus Hudson

Shaymus Hudson, a PhD student at WPI and the Advanced Casting Research Center (ACRC), has won the impressive Steven Harmon Scholarship.  The scholarship was established in 2005 by family members of Twin City Die Castings Company as a memorial to the company’s long-time leader and President.  The scholarship is administered by NADCA, the organization committed to promoting the die casting industry awareness, domestic growth in the global marketplace, and member exposure.

The objectives of the Steven J. Harmon Memorial Scholarship Program are:

  • To stimulate an awareness and interest in the die casting industry.
  • To provide financial assistance to a graduate student interested in a career in the die casting industry.
  • To promote die cast technology through engineering education.
  • To further education in the die casting industry.
