LIFT Center Opens

The Lightweight Materials Manufacturing Innovation Institute (formerly known as LM3I) opened its Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow (LIFT) center in Detroit on January 15, 2015. The goal of the organization is to accelerate the transfer of new manufacturing technology from the research lab to the production floor.Diran Apelian, Director of the Metal Processing Institute at WPI and faculty advisor for ACRC, attended the ribbon cutting ceremony of LIFT’s new Detroit headquarters.
