The ATC, in partnership with the Gordon Library, has installed a Revolution Lightboard into Tech Suite 121 (first floor next to the Multimedia Lab), for use by faculty to record micro-lectures or in live Zoom sessions.

Why use a lightboard?

  • Writing on a lightboard allows you to face your audience for a natural and more personal connection.
  • A lightboard gives you the comfort and familiar feel of a whiteboard, but you can also overlay images and video content to enhance your presentations.
  • You can use it ‘live’ or create video recordings that allow you to continuously create dynamic content easily.

Faculty and staff can book time to record in the Gordon Library Lightboard Studio via the Library’s LibCal system. When you reserve the Lightboard Studio, please contact atc@wpi.edu to make arrangements for a wireless lavaliere microphone and a set of special markers to be used when capturing in this space. The ATC also recommends faculty and staff arrange for a quick training session for all the special ins and outs when using the system.

Please see additional information on this new space in The Hub.
