Goal Statement
Assess Chelsea Collaborative’s Summer Youth Employment Initiative (SYEI) serving at-risk youth to provide a set of recommendations that can be used to improve their program.
Research Objectives
- Identify the perspectives of youth participants, worksites, and staff, about the effectiveness of the Summer Youth Employment Initiative.
- Develop an assessment framework, including metrics and methods, for gathering data from past participants and worksites.
- Assess the youth employment program using the assessment framework.
- Develop a set of recommended improvements to the Summer Youth Employment Initiative program.
Deliverables
By completing our research objectives, we provided the following deliverables:
- A set of recommendations to improve the Summer Youth Employment Initiative program
- A data analysis tool
- A video highlighting the program’s impact on the Chelsea community.
