Superfan shirt

[camisa de super fã]/ apparel

Part of WPI’s essential apparel. The slogan on the back of the shirt is chosen by the student body every year. You have to either be lucky to catch one when they are thrown out during sports games, pep rally or win a contest run by one of the many clubs and organizations on campus. In fact, it’s one of our most desired prizes during our famous Carnaval celebration.

Terra Brasilis

[terra brasilis]/ restaurant

Our favorite Brazilian restaurant in Worcester. A buffet restaurant, super cheap and, most importantly, super delicious. We go there so much that everyone knows who we are. Our go to place for our BRASA destressers before finals, and on Sundays after a long weekend. “Partiu Terra?” said every Brazilian at WPI.

Rooftop field

[campo na cobertura]/ location

Situated on top of a parking garage. Used by the field hockey,
football, and men’s and women’s soccer teams for practice. Also used by the Brazilians to showcase our wonderful soccer skills. Only for fun of course, but we would still get a little competitive. One of our members was on the club soccer team, so going there to cheer him on during the weekend games became a habit.

The Quad

[o quadrângulo]/ location

Large open green space on campus. Home to brick sidewalks with Alumni names on them and the Seal. Don’t step on the Seal if you want to graduate in four years. It’s either filled with happy students playing Spikeball, or sad students walking to class wondering why they’re taking an 8 am in C-term. When it’s warm out, it’s the best place to hangout between classes and listen to Brazilian music.

Dayton Street

[rua de dayton]/ location

Street known for the famous Brazilian socials. Most of the recently graduated seniors have lived at least one year at Dayton. It was also known for the “Rush Dayton” movement during the 2017-2018 school year. 8 Dayton Street will certainly be missed.

Miranda Bread

[pão miranda]/ restaurant

Our members favorite Brazilian bakery in Worcester. If you want to find Brazilian products or eat Brazilian snacks, such as pão de queijo, brigadeiro, and coxinha, Miranda Bread is the place to be. Our go-to place if we are missing a traditional Brazilian breakfast.

Highland Street

[rua de highland]/ location

One of the most known streets in Worcester. If you just go straight through, you will eventually end up in Boston. Home to WPI student’s go-to places such as The Boyton, The Sole Proprietor, Bean Counter, WooBerry, and Thai Time.

Salgabom Snacks

[lanches salgabom]/ restaurant

The place which we order Brazilian food for most of our BRASA events. It’s mainly known for their great pastel de carne e queijo and for their surprisingly small coxinhas.
