Career Fairs

On September 16, WPI welcomed 200 companies, 600 company representatives, and 2,900 students and alumni to campus for our largest career fair to date. Although we are still celebrating this success, we are now focused on preparing for the spring, and we are confident we will achieve similar results. Registration is open for both the Spring Career Fair, on February 18, and the Life Sciences & Bioengineering Career Fair, on March 24.

Diversity Networking Night

WPI will host a Diversity Networking Night on Tuesday, November 17, from 5:30 to 8 pm. The event is sponsored by the Career Development Center (CDC), Office of Multicultural Affairs, and Society of Women Engineers. Students and alumni from underrepresented populations will be attending, including students from WICS, SHPE, NSBE, CSA, ACCESS, GSA, NAWMBA, WECE, WiRE, and GSG. We encourage you to attend the event to speak with students, alumni, and other professionals about what diversity means in the workplace, while enjoying some light refreshments. If you have questions or are interested in attending, contact Bailey Rand, recruiting coordinator, at brand@wpi.edu.

Mock Interview Day

WPI will host a Mock Interview Day on Thursday, December 3. This is a great opportunity to meet potential candidates and help WPI students improve their interviewing skills. If your organization is interested in sending one or two representatives to the event, contact Bailey Rand, recruiting coordinator, at brand@wpi.edu.

Seeking Alumni to Volunteer with the CDC

The CDC teaches a course for undecided first-year students to support the selection of majors and careers, FY1800: Discovering Majors and Careers. As part of this course, each student is matched with an alumnus to facilitate an informational interview. The CDC is seeking alumni volunteers who can provide insight about their majors at WPI, talk about their career history, current roles, companies, and industries, and answer additional student questions. The interview requires a time commitment of about 20-30 minutes via telephone, Skype, or in person. Sign up online.
