The Season

Each First Robotics Competition (FRC) season starts with the kickoff at the beginning of the year where the game for the year is announced and the rules manual is released online. This marks the beginning of build season, where teams have six weeks to build their robots. After the six weeks, the robots are put in a bag where they can’t be modified before competition. The following couple of months make up competition season, where the robot competes in district and regional events. The final event is the World Championship, which takes place in April in Saint Louis, MO. Because Team 190 has been involved in FIRST® since its founding, the team is invited to the world championship every year. After the world championship, the season ends and a new one begins the next year. During the off season, there are other competitions, such as Battlecry at WPI.
