COLLABORATE… learn from others.

Exciting Breakthroughs

You don’t operate in a silo here.

Teamwork means more than just working with other people at WPI—your team supports you, helps you find inspiration, and might even give you a new perspective to consider in your work.

Bouncing around the “what if?” and “can we do this?” questions are central to how WPI approaches a graduate education. Our students come from all over the world to study here; the different experiences and views contribute valuable diversity to our community. Working with different teams makes your own research more comprehensive and broadens your horizons.

We’re Built for Collaboration

We’re a community of scholars who want to make a big impact in the world. Getting together for a virtual project or for a casual coffee to map out some possibilities—graduate students are always forming connections. Our smaller size means you’ll get the personal attention you need and the opportunities you want to form connections to successfully launch you into your career.

“I like working in teams as a graduate student. It teaches me how to focus on other people’s strengths, and smoothly negotiate with others when we have different opinions and conflicts. I think these are important real-world skills. Always be humble, respect and include others, and do what is best for the team.”
