What is the weather like in Hawai‛i?
This may seem like a silly question, but Hawai‛i is one of the most variable locations on earth for its size.
You should expect that the weather will vary from tropical heat and sunshine at low coastal elevations to cold, damp, and even snowy at high elevations. If you plan to travel widely in Hawai‛i, you should expect to experience many different kinds of weather.
However, you can be sure of one thing: rain. Rain is frequent in many (but not all) parts of Hawai‛i, though as in much of the tropics, the rain usually takes the form of brief showers or downpours followed by sunny conditions.
You should be prepared with a durable but lightweight raincoat, an umbrella, and a good camera (for all the rainbows).
