A new company recently formed based on the technology developed in the laboratories of Professors Gaudette & Pins has been selected as a Finalist for the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) 2013 Venture Forum. The meeting will be held in San Antonio, TX, February 27-March 2. VitaThreads, one of four finalists, is commercializing a novel cell delivery device based on fibrin microthreads. This innovative work was developed over the past several years in the Gaudette and Pins laboratories at WPI. The company will present at the AUTM meeting to a panel of seasoned venture investors, with the winner being awarded $10,000.
