IGERT fellow Heather Cirka was awarded an American Heart Association (AHA) Predoctoral Fellowship from the Founders Affiliate. These AHA fellowships are very prestigious and competitive. Heather is doing her graduate research with Prof. Kris Billiar in the Biomedical Engineering Department.
