Step 4:

Apply

  • You must formally apply for admission to WPI before the end of your second course in the program.
  • If you are uncertain about your candidacy, we recommend applying in advance of taking courses.

Formal application to WPI must be completed before the end of your second course. To begin, fill out the online application form. This critical step will create your admissions file and should only take about 10 minutes.

Go to the Graduate Admissions Application and create your admissions account. You have your choice of which email address and password you prefer to use for the system. Once your account is created, you can log back in at any time to upload materials or check the status of your application.

Your supporting documents should be uploaded directly into your admissions application. All documents, including unofficial transcripts from all universities attended previously, are required before an application can be reviewed. Please note that official transcripts are required once you have been admitted to WPI. Those can be sent to the attention of your operations manager at:

Worcester Polytechnic Institute
WPI Online
100 Institute Rd
Worcester, MA 01609

Once all materials are submitted, you will receive a confirmation email and your application will be sent for departmental review. The review process may take up to six to eight weeks and you will be notified via email when an admissions decision is reached.
