Zijian (Donnie) Xia stopped by to talk with me last Thursday about the Chinese Student Association photo exhibit at the library. Xia mentioned that CSA students “want to let Americans know what the real China is like” and the “simple style of life” of parts of China. They also wanted to tie in with International Student Education Week.
Six students in CSA chose from more than 100 photos submitted by members. CSA worked with WPI’s Publications Office to print the photos and borrowed frames from the Gordon Library. Stop by to see more than 30 photos on display until December 16th. Stunning landscapes, a traditional wedding scene, historical bridges in additional to people and culture are featured.
“The library” Xia felt is “the best choice because it’s visible to many at WPI.” Other student organizations who wish to consider a photo exhibit at the library should contact Lora Brueck, Chair of the Gordon Library Exhibit Committee.
