We asked some students at WPI to tell us about their experiences at the library. These answers will be unveiled in a series we call “Chat #GordonLibrary.” Feel free to add your own answers to the question in the comment section below!
Question: Where is your favorite place to study?
My favorite place in the library would have to be corner directly to your left as you reach the top of the stairs on the third floor. I particularly like this place mainly because it’s a less used section and there are usually only a couple people there when I have to study. It also feels like a lounge without the obligation to go there to relax and socialize that actual lounges have, but has the couches and tables you’d expect. The tables are perfect because they’re lower to the ground, so not only can they be used to hold your books, but you can also use them as a foot rest if you’re doing a lot of reading. Using the table as a foot rest blends perfectly with the couches, since you can sprawl out and get comfortable. Finally, it’s usually a little bit warmer on the third floor, which is a large bonus for me since I work best when it’s warm or hot. Overall, it’s my go-to place when I have to do a lot of reading or to study for an upcoming test, and my favorite spot in the library.
