Now that the 2014-2015 academic year is underway, I would like to welcome to the Gordon Library all of WPI’s new and returning students, faculty and staff, and invite all of you to visit the library, in person or virtually via the library web site, to utilize the resources, services and facilities available to you. Find journal articles, ebooks, print books, IQPs, MQPs, theses and dissertations with Summon. Discover WPI historical publications, images, and scholarship via Digital Commons. Schedule a research consultation with one of our librarians. Suggest a book, journal or new database for purchase. Walk by the front of the library in the evening and enjoy the Lighpainting, a gift to WPI by Phi Gamma Delta fraternity in honor of their fraternity brother and WPI alumnus, Walter Knapp, Class of 1938.

The library is also home to the IT Technology Helpdesk, the Academic Technology Center’s Technology for Teaching and Learning team, and the Morgan Teaching and Learning Center. The staff members of those departments along with the Gordon Library staff are ready to help you with your teaching, learning and research needs. Please Ask Us if you have any questions or comments about library services and resources.

Again, welcome to the library if you are new to WPI and welcome back if you’re not. Have a great year!
