As the 2015-2016 academic year gets underway, I want to welcome all new and returning students, faculty, staff and visitors to Gordon Library, and I invite you to utilize all of the resources, services and facilities that the library offers. You can find journal articles, e-books, print books, IQPs, MQPs, theses, dissertations, films and more; discover WPI historical publications and images and distinctive scholarship; set up a research consultation; or tell us about books, journals or other resources you think we should have.
When you do visit, be sure to check out the Class of 1970 Library Cafe on the main floor, which will feature a photo exhibit of WPI gargoyles. The Class of 1941 Gallery on the third floor currently hosts “The Patina of Polaroid — Toys from the Attic and Cuba : Time Suspended,” a new exhibit by Worcester artist Mari Seder. And don’t miss the “History of the WPI Plan” in the Gladwin Gallery on the ground floor.
And please say hello to our newest staff members: Research and Instruction Librarians Paige Neumann and Jessica O’Toole; Access and Outreach Archivist Mike Kemezis; and Sarah Conlin (WPI 2014) who joins us as Pearsall Digital Project Coordinator.
I hope that you all have a productive and enjoyable year!
