How do cells know how big to make their internal parts?

Our group uses a combination of theoretical and quantitative approaches to determine how cells control the size and dynamics of their cytoskeletal networks. Our goal is to use this interdisciplinary approach to identify a core set of design principles that cells use to tune the assembly of their intricate subcellular structures.
