Abstract

This report, prepared for the Capital Management Branch of the Department of Human Services, researches best practice for selection interviewing and investigates how this best practice can be united with current departmental procedures. Research shows that structured interviews based on a detailed job analysis, and using behavioural questions have the highest predictive validly of all interview types. This report examines literature findings in detail and recommends methods for merging best practice techniques with current CMB procedures
