Abstract

The Fire Protection Association Australia seeks to provide a means by which clients of the fire protection industry can easily identify companies dedicated to the highest international standard of fire safety and ethical business practice. To achieve the FPAA goal, this project sought to improve member understanding and compliance with its 2004 industry Code of Practice. Three objectives, increasing Code awareness, identifying Code implementation barriers, and developing a feasible auditing system, were successfully addressed and presented to the FPAA leadership.
