This site is an archive of projects that have been developed in the courses Making Music with Machines and Musical Robotics at WPI. In these courses, students explore the ways in which mechatronic and robotic systems can generate music. After reading about, watching, and listening to musical machines of the past, students design and build a project of their own in 7 weeks. Several of the projects from these courses have been developed further in the Music, Perception and Robotics Lab at WPI. The purpose of this site is not only to document previous efforts but also to inspire future ones.
