Sandy Grant Accountant
“make sure that I didn’t pass anything along to my son”.
Summary of Interview
Sandy Grant is a freelance accountant who primarily manages the financial operations for an automotive repair shop in Lowell, MA. Since the start of the pandemic, her services have been in greater demand because clients want to file tax documents to receive COVID-19 related aid. Sandy doesn’t mind this increased workload because it has increased her income. She told us that she isn’t worried about catching the virus herself, but wants to “make sure that I didn’t pass anything along to my son”. Although the United States has been aware of the virus since December, the government did not take action towards the virus until February. Sandy hopes that future pandemics are taken more seriously because she believes the response time impacts how long a pandemic will last.
