Community Involvement
One of the best ways to participate in community activities and socialize with others is through the Youth Centers available in every marz – some of these provide not only opportunities for physical activities with others, but also more sedentary projects and options that involve stronger interaction between youths and adults alike. See the informal education page for more information.
For families unable to reach the nearest Youth Center listed as a result of limited transportation/accessibility or distance, checking in with your community’s local church is the next best step. Many churches sponsor programs for youth that may not be electronically advertised.
Please also visit the domestic violence page for more information on Women’s Empowerment Programs. These organizations are designed to help women in rural communities grow their social network through connections made in the program.
Indoor Activities/Entertainment

Outdoor Activities
Community and physical activities are much more likely to take place in a common space designed for these purposes. Even if your community does not have a formal park or recreation area, any open space where community members are likely to gather is going to increase participation in activities together and thus communication and social networking as well. Organizing group activities such as pick up games of tag or soccer, walking groups, etc can be a great way to attract more people to open areas.
