Attending the Institute as an Individual

Attending the Institute as an Individual: Whether a novice to PBL or a current practitioner looking to level up, the Institute will offer opportunities to advance your practice, provide evidence to support your efforts within your institution and ideas for expanding the use of PBL on your campus.   Cohort Formation: While able to craft their own path through the workshops and keynotes, individuals will be also grouped together in small cohorts (no more than 5-6) based on shared interests and objectives. These groups will have opportunities to support and learn from each other and will also be mentored by Institute faculty whose expertise aligns with the interests and goals of the group. The group experience allows us to provide particularly rich learning opportunities where individual participants can learn what other colleges and universities are doing, crowdsource strategies, and network with other faculty using PBL. Institute Takeaway: Individuals will leave with a plan of action to advance PBL upon their return informed by their time in the institute and feedback from Institute faculty and their cohort. In addition, those attending as individuals will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for the PBL Institute, recognizing their participation in this significant faculty development opportunity.
