What is SHPE?
SHPE stands for the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. It is a national organization dedicated to empowering and supporting Hispanic professionals and students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
Our Mission
SHPE aims to provide a platform for networking, professional development, and community building to help its members thrive in their respective STEM careers. The organization focuses on fostering diversity and inclusion within the STEM community and offers various resources, events, and opportunities for its members to enhance their skills and connect with like-minded individuals and industry professionals.
How many events does SHPE host throughout the year?
SHPE meets every Tuesday for General Body Meetings (GBMs), planning fun and professional events, which include talks with companies. In addition, the club also sells beef, chicken, and cheese empanadas once per term to raise funds for two of our big events: the National Convention and the Latino Fiesta.
