Abstract: Towards global decarbonization of iron and steelmaking industry, we here propose a novel and sustainable iron production by low-temperature electrolysis with no direct carbon emission. In this newly developed process, iron powder with high purity is obtained as well as high efficiency. In addition, this method can also produce other metal powder (Cu and Ag) and alloy powder (FeNi).
