Abstract: Our project examines a recycling approach for rare earth metals, critical for clean energy technologies, focusing on the magnet-to-metal method that extracts these metals from magnets. The research will analyze the leaching behavior of rare earth magnets, and the data obtained, along with previous studies, will contribute to a model predicting the kinetics of the leaching process. Additionally, the study will model distillation processes for magnesium and another leaching agent, which is vital for scaling up this recycling process.
