Abstract: This project explores an innovative solvent-free method to fabricate the electrodes for EV batteries. This innovative electrode manufacturing approach enables more uniform CEI and SEI formation and growth, doubling the battery cycle life. Besides the improved battery lifespan, this method offers a notable 29.2% overall cost advantage, potentially revolutionizing future battery manufacturing. The findings within this project underscore the potential of solvent-free manufacturing technology providing significant economic and environmental benefits and improving the sustainability of battery manufacturing.
