Abstract: In 2018, it was reported that the US generated 292.4 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW), the effects of which are primarily felt in low-income and underrepresented communities. Our patent pending process aims to reduce the burden on MSW management by leveraging favorable kinetics and reaction conditions to convert the organic fraction of waste (80%) into a competitive, net-negative emission cement alternative.
