Partnering organizations play a critical role in the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP) program at WPI by providing on-site guidance and support that helps students tackle meaningful societal issues. Working with multidisciplinary research teams comprised of 3-4 undergraduate students, Non-profit and NGO organizations benefit from fresh perspectives, innovative approaches, and research-driven solutions. While the time commitment for partnering organizations typically involves a few hours each week for on-site meetings and project oversight, the collaboration results in tangible outcomes that often advance the organization’s mission. This partnership enriches student learning and professional growth while allowing organizations to address important social issues with dedicated, enthusiastic problem-solvers.
Benefits of Partnership

Over the years, nearly a dozen organizations have participated in this program.
