Make a Bubble Snake!

Watch the video and try it at home!

Supplies needed:  Recycled bottle, Scissors, Sock, Plate, Bubbles, Dish Soap

Step by step process:

  1. Cut off the bottom part of the recycled bottle
  2. Put a sock over the end of the bottle
  3. Pour a small amount of water, dish soap, and bubble solution onto a plate
  4. Wet the bubble snake blower in the solution and then blow!

Helpful hints:

  • Be sure to breathe in through your nose or take your mouth off to breathe. You don’t want to suck up the soap 😉
  • The bubbles will adhere to each other! Keep blowing UP, UP, UP!  See how tall you can get it.
  • Measure your bubble snake! Try different fabrics. Use less water if it will not stick together well.

Step by step process:

  1. Put thin-necked bottles on the tray
  2. Spoon approximately 2-3 tbsp of baking soda into each bottle
  3. Fill each squeeze bottle with vinegar
  4. Place 1 tablet into each vinegar bottle so that you have ; 1 blue, 1 red, and 1 yellow bottle
  5. Squeeze two different colors into the bottle at the same time! See what happens

Helpful hints:

The activity will still work without the bath Fizzies. You can also use food dye. However; it can be messy and stain clothes and hands. I highly recommend the bath tablets.
